We have been finding NCLB in EVERY field!!! The picture posted is showing the damage that has arisen in the past week alone. No lesions were found seven days ago. The aggressiveness of this disease is extremely concerning. The disease thrives in 65-80 degree weather with extended periods of wet conditions. Expected weather is causing an opportunity for a very detrimental outbreak. We highly recommend that you keep an eye on your field. Some hybrids are more susceptible to extreme damage, ultimately becoming a much greater cost to the farmer if the field is left untreated. Contact Ryan or Carolyn with any questions regarding crop scouting help and economically effective ways to treat your field if necessary.
